When I was growing up, you could ask your neighbor for a cup of sugar or an egg for that cake you were making. I want to bring that back.

If you see something, offer help. I believe we could have community days where one home is sponsored for what they need to make their property amazing. We work together mowing, planting, and cleaning as a team.

The details would need to be organized, but families could submit a request and the council could vote on who was the next sponsored home.

The sponsored home would make a list of where they need help. Perhaps it’s trash clean-up or some tree limbs to cut down. The neighborhood could come together and work one or two days a month and help a neighbor.

There are often neighbors, like myself, who live very busy lives. With seven children, we get behind. Instead of being judged, I would appreciate help. You never know what someone is going through.

Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. I believe a team is what it takes to accomplish a goal and our city can be one giant team.
